57. Workplace Bullying

57.1 Workplace bullying is unacceptable behaviour and the University is committed to the provision of information and training and to manage any incidents of workplace bullying in a fair and timely manner.

57.2 Workplace bullying is defined as: repeated unreasonable behaviour directed towards a staff member or student, or group of staff members or group of students, that creates a risk to health and safety.

57.3 Bullying does not include any legitimate or reasonable use of performance management processes, disciplinary action, allocation of work in compliance with systems, implementation of organisational change or downsizing, action taken to transfer or redeploy a staff member or a decision not to promote or reclassify the staff member.
