WorkCover

WorkCover is Victoria's compensation scheme for injured workers' and is governed by the Accident Compensation Act 1985.

Under the Act, any worker who sustains an injury arising out of or in the course of employment, and if the worker's employment was a significant contributing factor to the injury shall be entitled to compensation.

WorkCover will:

• Pay for reasonable medical and like services (which includes rehabilitation);
• Provide weekly payments of compensation if you are unable to work;
• Assist you to return to your pre-injury duties as quickly as possible.

If you sustain a compensable injury, you must complete a Hazard and Incident Report within 30 days of the incident occurring.
