Level 1 program:
  • No prior knowledge of Visio is expected. 
  • Use of Windows operating system and working with files and folders

Overview

To be able to use competently the basic functions of Microsoft Visio 2003, including using the Flowchart Template, text, connectors, guides, page orientation, printing techniques and the Cross-functional Flowchart template.

Course Content

On completion of this course participants will be able to: 

  • start and exit Visio and navigate the screen
  • use text for shapes and labels
  • use free-form text for headings and instructions
  • use connector lines to connect shapes
  • use a variety of techniques to work with connector lines and format them
  • use a variety of tools to create precise drawings
  • work with multiple page drawings
  • change layout of drawings
  • preview drawing for printing
  • change printing options
  • create cross-functional flowcharts
  • modify, adjust, enhance cross functional flowcharts
