TeamSite for Authors

One day program

Target group:Academic and professional staff who are required to use the TeamSite - content management system to manage their web content.
Group size:Minimum 5 - Maximum 10
Level 1 program:

Completion of the Web fundamentals workshop or similar knowledge.

Essential reading from University web style guide

It is recommended that Teamsite Authors complete the Web Style Guide Workshop.

Staff must have experience in:

Skills review quiz (Please use Internet Explorer to review the quiz.)

It is encouraged that staff complete this quiz. The aim of the quiz is for staff to verify that they have the fundamental knowledge expected of them before undertaking the TeamSite for Authors class.

Overview

To be able create and manage web content using the ContentCentre Standard interface within the Content Management System.

Intended Outcomes

Participants will be able create/edit/import content using the standard interface within the Content Management System. Participants will gain an understanding of new concepts and expectations required when creating a web page for the Monash environment.

Course Content

On completion of this course participants will:

  • gain an overview of TeamSite
  • be able to log into TeamSite
  • be able to navigate the ContentCentre Standard interface
  • be able to configure Local File Manager
  • be able to create a new web page using a form template with/without VisualFormat
  • be able to preview and test a web page
  • be able to select appropriate workflow
  • be able to complete metadata capture screen
  • be able to view completed pages on web server
