Salary Packaging Procedure

Section 10. Salary for termination and other purposes

Packaging will not change the staff member's salary or their terms and conditions of employment.

A staff member's pre-packaged gross salary will continue to be used to determine calculations for the following entitlements:

  • Employer contributions to Superannuation
  • Payment of leave entitlements on termination
  • Severance payments
  • Loadings, allowances and deductions, which are calculated as a percentage of salary
  • Overtime and shift penalties
  • Redundancy or early retirement benefits
