Vice-Chancellor's Taskforce on the Advancement of Women at Monash - Women's Leadership and Advancement Scheme

Established in 1998, the Vice-Chancellor's Taskforce for the Advancement of Women at Monash is an advisory group chaired by the Vice-Chancellor and comprised of senior women and men who meet to consider organisational and cultural change initiatives aimed at improving the employment status of female academic and general staff at Monash.

Terms of reference for the Taskforce include:

  1. To review the employment profile of female academic and general staff at Monash;
  2. To consider aspects of the University work environment that may inhibit the advancement of women;
  3. To advise on key strategies to effect any required organisational and cultural change supporting the advancement of women;
  4. To influence the process of change leading to the advancement of women staff by actively promoting the principles of gender equity amongst key decision- making personnel across the University.
