Coursework Scholarship Supporting Documentation

All applicants

All applicants must provide the required certified supporting documentation outlined below. Please note:

• Students applying for merit based scholarships may not be required to submit supporting documentation.
• Each piece of supporting documentation must be a certified copy. Original documents will not be returned to the applicant. 
• Documents must be legible and easy to read.
• All documents must be stapled to the application coversheet available at the end of the application form. Do not submit supporting documentation in a folder.
• Faxed copies of supporting documentation will not be accepted
• All documentation must be dated between August and November 2008.

It is each students responsibility to provide relevant and certified supporting documentation for each question as listed below. The Coursework Scholarships Unit will not consider your application if you do not provide complete and correctly verified documentation.

All supporting documentation must be received by the Coursework Scholarships Unit by 5:00pm (AEST) 14 November 2008.

Residency Status

Applicants who hold a permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa must provide a certified copy of the pages in your passport showing:

• your personal details, and 
• a government stamp detailing the class and subclass of visa you have been issued and the date of issue, or
• a letter from the Department of Immigration showing your personal details, the class and subclass of visa you have been issued and the date of issue

Direct applicants

Direct applicants who are applying for a course directly to the University (i.e not through VTAC) must supply certified copies of official academic transcripts. 

Equity and personal disadvantage groups

Applicants who have applied under one or more of the following equity or personal disadvantage groups must supply the following documentation.  

• people of Indigenous Australian descent
• people from rural and isolated areas
• people experiencing low socio-economic circumstances
• people with a disability or long term medical condition
• people from a non-English speaking background
• people experiencing long term family difficulties

Preference will be given to applicants who can provide documentation that demonstrates an involvement in community or social activities or documentation that indicates a capacity for hard work and a willingness to learn.
