Associate Dean Reports - Academic Promotions 2008

Associate deans responsible for teaching and research in a faculty are required to provide a report on the candidate’s case for promotion in the three areas of academic activity.

The reports will provide an overview and assessment of the candidate's achievements in the relevant area and where available should refer to faculty and university metrics.

Candidates or faculty promotions coordinators (depending on the faculty) will provide the associate deans with summary tables and a copy of the application before the end of the promotions round. Please note that the following faculties require candidates to complete the summary tables:

Candidates are advised to contact their faculty promotions coordinator for further information. 

The associate deans will complete the report after the academic promotions round has closed.  All candidates will have the opportunity to sight these reports.

Applications from candidates not located in a faculty also require associate dean reports to be prepared. Candidates not located in a faculty should contact the Human Resources Division prior to submitting their application to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) for assistance with this process.
