Terms of Reference
To consider all applications for affiliation, the continuation of any affiliation, and all matters related to affiliation, and to make recommendations on affiliation matters to Academic Board and Council. (Statute 10.1:3.1)

Development of affiliation proposals
The process is for developing and proposing an affiliation is:
- Formal written proposals for affiliation are submitted to the most relevant Academic Board committee (Education Committee, International Committee, or Monash Research Committee) for endorsement to progress to the Affiliation Committee.
- Proposals endorsed by the Affiliation Committee are submitted to Academic Board for endorsement for Council approval.

In the event that a proposal is not endorsed by the Affiliation Committee, it is referred to the relevant Academic Board committee (Education Committee, International Committee, or Monash Research Committee) for information, and where appropriate, for further development.
Meeting frequency and conduct
The committee will meet as the need arises to address specific applications for affiliation. In addition, the committee will meet at least once each year to review the schedule of existing affiliation agreements. Meetings of the committee may be face-to-face meetings or meetings using alternative methods, including electronic media, as determined by the Chair.
