HDR Re-enrolment

Timing

Re-enrolment for the 2008 academic year will commence for all HDR students on Thursday 1 Novemer 2007 and close on Friday 30 November 2007.

Method

Re-enrolment can be undertaken either by:

  • enrolling in units via the Web Enrolment System (WES), or
  • completing a hardcopy Course Enrolment Form

The hardcopy, personalised letter that you will be sent in October regarding re-enrolment will outline the method of re-enrolment (i.e.via the WES or hardcopy Course Enrolment Form) that your faculty or the Monash Research Graduate School has decided will be most appropriate for you - most students are expected to re-enrol via the WES.

Extended WES Instructions

Debt/Encumbrance

If you have any outstanding debts to the University and your enrolment has been encumbered, you will not be permitted to re-enrol until the encumbrance is resolved. Students with an administrative encumbrance are expected to re-enrol within the specified timeframes and late resolution of the encumbrance will not be considered as reason for waiving any late re-enrolment penalties.

Late re-enrolment

If you do not re-enrol between 1 November and 30 November 2007 you risk losing your place in the course.  If you are allowed by your faculty or the Monash Research Graduate School to re-enrol during the late re-enrolment period of 3 December and 19 December 2007 you will incur a late re-enrolment fine of $106.

Failure to re-enrol

If you are deemed to have ‘failed to re-enrol’ then you are no longer considered by the University to be an enrolled student and you forfeit your place at the university. Students who fail to re-enrol should approach the faculty or Monash Research Graduate School to determine how a place in the course may be regained.
